Mercedes: giant digital dashboard announced

Mercedes is currently completing the development of the EQS, a large 100% electric sedan announced for 2021. This will inaugurate, as an option, a new XXL-sized digital dashboard called Hyperscreen, or literally "hyper-screen". It will be a monitor covering the entire width of the dashboard facing the driver and front passenger.

This screen will be curved. Mercedes has not yet revealed the diagonal but announces that this Hyperscreen will be used to control its MBUX infotainment system, in particular thanks to an artificial intelligence system.
Presentation early January

The Mercedes Hyperscreen will not be the first screen to occupy the entire width of a dashboard since such a configuration is already found in the Honda e and the Byton M-Byte. The fact that it is optional on one of the most high-end vehicles of the brand with the star nevertheless seems to announce a particularly sophisticated system.

This new equipment will be unveiled on January 7, then will be the subject of a presentation a few days later as part of CES 2021, a high-tech show which will be to be followed exclusively online for its next edition. Mercedes had already chosen CES, in 2018, to present its MBUX system.
